100th Tree Planted at Sinclair Park To Mark Third Anniversary of Tornadoes

Group met at Sinclair Park about long term recovery efforts

The Miami Valley Regional Planning Commission Disaster Recovery Leadership Board met Friday, June 3 at Sinclair Park in Harrison Township to provide strategic leadership, oversight and transparency for the community. They discussed the long term recovery efforts over the next six to ten years due to the 2019 Memorial Day tornadoes, such as the Sinclair Park restoration efforts, the Foxton Court project and many more trees to be planted by RETREET in the Miami Valley.

In addition, Harrison Township officials planted the 100th tree at Sinclair Park to honor the 3rd anniversary of the 2019 Memorial Day tornadoes. Thanks to Harrison Township's Mark Lynch, Michael Crist and Montgomery County Sheriff's Office Dayton Ohio Captain Brad Daugherty for helping plant this tree.
