Montgomery County ED/GE Grants

Welcome to Harrison Township’s ED/GE Grant Resource Page

At Harrison Township, we’re dedicated to helping businesses grow and thrive. One of the key resources available to businesses in our community is Montgomery County’s Economic Development/Government Equity (ED/GE) Grant Program. This competitive program is designed to support businesses that create and retain local jobs while investing in their long-term growth right here in Montgomery County.

The ED/GE program distributes grant funds twice a year (spring and fall) to help finance permanent improvement projects such as new building construction, renovations, infrastructure upgrades (power, plumbing, etc.), and parking facilities. These grants provide essential funding to businesses looking to expand their operations and make a lasting impact in our community.

How Projects Are Evaluated

Applications are reviewed by a committee of public and private sector representatives. The committee evaluates each project based on:

  • Job Creation and Retention: The number and quality of jobs the project will create or retain.
  • Capital Investment: The overall financial commitment to the project.
  • Community Impact: The positive influence the project will have on the local area.
