Some of the recent accomplishments include:
- Combated a car to car drug transaction issue on Folsom Drive by being vigilant as neighbors and assisting the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office in reporting all suspicious activities. After several months of consistent pressure, the drug activity had been eliminated from our neighborhood.
- Put on our first block party in the summer of 2008, which included a rib contest, judged by several local dignitaries as well as a pie contest. This block party was wildly successful and has led to several additional social functions for our neighborhood community, including a neighborhood meeting at Sinclair Park in the summer of 2009, a Christmas party at the Curtis' in December of 2009 and a end of the year pot luck dinner at the Harvey's in November of 2010. In 2011, our group had a fall cookout celebrating another successful year.
- Met with RTA about putting a bench at the bus stop at the Greenhill and N. Main Street.
- Conducted a street lighting study for Folsom Drive in 2009.
- Continue to keep an active phone directory of all of our residents in our neighborhood.
- Put together and deliver a quarterly newsletter updating our residents about the recent developments in our neighborhood as well as township wide activities.
- Continue to work with Horizon Science Academy in ensuring the safety of their students as well as our residents along the N. Main Street/Turner Road area during after school hours.
- For the 2011 Thanksgiving and Christmas seasons, we partnered with Ft. McKinley United Methodist Church and provided a township family in need with gift baskets.
- In addition to awarding monthly yard of the month winners in our neighborhood, las year (2011) we conducted a Christmas light contest which was judged by our neighbors, as well as caroling as a neighborhood group for our neighbors whcih was followed by a dessert get together.
