Fire Prevention Week is October 7-13

Look

Learn
Be Award.  Fire Can Happen Anywhere.

"LOOK” for places fire could start. Take a good look around your home. Identify potential fire hazards and take care of them.

“LISTEN” for the sound of the smoke alarm. You could have only minutes to escape safely once the smoke alarm sounds. Go to your outside meeting place, which should be a safe distance from the home and where everyone should know to meet.

“LEARN” two ways out of every room and make sure all doors and windows leading outside open easily and are free of clutter.

During Fire Prevention Week, Harrison Township Fire Department has planned special events for you and your family at its Turner Road location, daily.

  • Fire Station 94 at 2400 Turner Road and Fire Station 95 at Needmore and Payne.
  • Fire station tours will be given daily from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at both stations.
  • Giveaways at all events will include free educational material.
  • Special appearances will also be made by Sparky the Fire Dog.
  • Plan to bring the family and join us for these fun and informative community events.
