Some of the recent accomplishments in the area:

- The Dayton Public Schools will be opening the brand new Meadowdale grade school for the 2011-2012 school year. This project was $10 million investment in our community.
- Ft. McKinley United Methodist Church has conducted monthly neighborhood cleanups in the Ft. McKinley section this year, starting in April. Harrison Township has removed the debris after the church and neighbors have cleaned up the debris.
- Ft. McKinley United Methodist had a community festival at the Fire Station on Michigan Avenue, in July, 2010 where over 300 residents enjoyed, food, games and community friendship with one another. Ft. McKinley held another festival in 2011 with similar attendance.
- In Fall, 2010 four residential dilapidated homes will be demolished in the Ft. McKinley/Meadowdale neighborhood as part of the township's Neighborhood Stabilization Project. 2011 saw approximately a dozen additional home demolished through Harrison Township, Montgomery County and County Corp with more dilapidated homes being targeted in 2012.
- The former Dairy, located at the corner of Salem and Pittsburg Avenues was razed in the Fall, 2010, as part of the NSP. This building had been in a dilapidated state for years and was finally removed from our neighborhood community. The property was graded and seeded and is being used as open green space for the immediate future.
- Oberer Development and County Corp, in partnership with Ft. McKinley United Methodist Church, Montgomery County and Harrison Township submitted a grant proposal to the State of Ohio in October, 2010 to build 25 new single family homes in our community. In the spring of 2011, we were notified the application was awarded the funds. All of our partners are currently working with the various community stakeholders to get this project underway and we are hoping to see a ground breaking in the spring of 2012.
