President: Gloria Saunders Vice President: Janice McClemore Meeting Dates: We meet the second Tuesday, every other month at 6:00 pm. We meet in the following months: April, June, August & October. Meeting Location: We meet at Ft. McKinley United Methodist Church on the corner of Salem and Hillcrest Avenues. As a group we have steadily grown over the last three years by looking out for one another not only on the street we live, but on our surrounding streets as well. One of our biggest projects we worked on together was petitioning the Harrison Township Board of Trustees to install new street lights on Falmouth Avenue. At the end of 2009, street lights were installed after the Board of Trustees approved Falmouth Avenue, between Hillcrest and Salem Avenues, as a street lighting district. We also asked the Board of Trustees to install "Noise Ordinance" signs on Falmouth Avenue. Though this had never been done before, the Board of Trustees did agree to use Falmouth Avenue, in addition to one other Neighborhood Association area, as a study area to see if the signs worked. The signs continue to be displayed today. We have also worked with Harrison Township in combatting vacant and dilapidated homes. Two residential structures were demolished in 2008 on Falmouth Avenue as a result of our efforts in working with the township in making them aware of nuisance properties. We have also worked hard to combat loose and dangerous dogs in the neighborhood as well as high grass at vacant properties. We are working hard to get additional neighbors involved in our meetings for 2012. If you have interest, please contact Gloria or Janice.
