Our group started meeting in response to neighborhood concerns when some of our vehicles began to be broken into while they were parked at our homes.  As a response to these new developments, we petitioned the Harrison Township Board of Trustees to create a new street lighting district in our neighborhood.  In the Spring of 2009, after the Township's Board of Trustees created the Banning Court Street Lighting District, our new street lights were installed.  We have stayed aggressive in crime prevention in our neighborhood as well as recognizing those township businesses and residences who continue to help make our community a beautiful place to call home.  We have also been able to assist the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office as well as the Montgomery County Prosecutor's Office in appealing liquor licenses for those establishments which brought a criminal element to our neighborhood community.  Another project we worked on together with Harrison Township was meeting with the Ohio Department of Transportation in requesting a sidewalk replacement program along the N. Main Street business corridor.  After working with Harrison Township and ODOT for over a year, ODOT finished the sidewalk replacement program in the fall of 2009.  In 2011 our group hosted a representative from ODOT to discuss the traffic light removal study at Julia and N. Main Street.
